An Introduction to Ayurveda

This interactive class will teach you the basic philosophy behind Ayurveda. Learn about your own unique body constitution and lifestyle routines to help achieve balance. Find out the basic foods and 6 tastes to complement your constitution and bring about wellness. Experience the wonders of medicinal spice and how to use them easily every day.

Ayurvedic Nature Medicine

This creative day uses the readily available herbs and spices to make seasonal Masalas, poultices and compresses. Enjoy the experience of grinding, mixing and creating your own unique recipe.

Ayurvedic Mandala of Nature

This day encompasses nature into the creative process of creating a Mandala, a circular diagram without beginning or end to energise and connect people with their power to heal thei space. This Mandala is a form of building energy and relaxation while strengthening your inner self, it incorporates the elements of earth, fire, water, air and space. This wonderful experience is to unify and create peace in your environment.

Natures Inner Medicine

In Ayurveda food and herbs are our inner medicine for healing. Learn about the energetic value of food and herbs and the effects on the body and mind. We will grind and make a seasonal Masala to boost immunity, make ghee and make an Ayurvedic herbal tea.

6 Week Ayurvedic Program

This 6 week program will cover many aspects of Ayurveda in greater depth for those want to go further with Ayurveda this foundation course will cover a range of Ayurvedic subjects. The classes are theory based and practical while suiting all needs.

Week 1 - Introduces Ayurvedic philosophy, elemental dosha theory of Pitta, Kapha, Vata, and the benefits and discovering your own constitution.

Week 2 - Learn the techniques of Pranayama breathing to apply to everyday life to help balance your unique constitution. Discuss lifestyle planning and learn to create your own routine.

Week 3 - Understanding the digestive process and how toxins are formed according to Ayurveda. Learn the safe techniques of body cleansing and detoxification . Understand the basic techniques of Panchakarma. Learn how to expel toxins using herbs and dietary changes.

Week 4 - Learn the importance of massage in Ayurveda, using simple self massage techniques while learning about the energetic flow of the body. This practical day gives you a chance to learn an Ayurvedic treatment.

Week 5 - Food and herbs our inner medicine for healing. Learn about the energetic value of food and herbs and the effects on the body and mind. We will grind and make a seasonal Masala to boost immunity, make ghee and make an Ayurvedic herbal tea.

Week 6 - This week the group will have chance to reflect on the journey with Ayurveda. We will create a Mandala a circular diagram without beginning or end that connects and energises all who are involved . This Mandala is a form of meditation and relaxation incorporating the elements of earth, fire, water, air and space. A wonderful experience to unify and set our intentions for the future.
